Cuban Spaghetti Recipestep by step

The ingredients you need:
- 1 pound of spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano and another of black pepper
- 1 large red onion
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 sweet peppers
- 1 cubanelle pepper
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- Parmesan cheese

Boil the spaghetti until al dente (the consistency of traditional Cuban spaghetti is al dente, but it’s good to remove them at this point because when you mix them with the sauce they will reach the perfect texture). If you put them in cold water, they will grow more.

In a pan, sauté the onion, peppers, and garlic. After one or two minutes, add the two cups of water, oregano, pepper, and tomato sauce. Let it cook until it boils and reaches a creamy pasta consistency. Add salt to taste.

Once it has that consistency, add the drained spaghetti to the pan or mix them in a separate pot. If you see they are too white, you can add a little more tomato sauce, making sure it mixes well.

Once well mixed, add the mayonnaise and with this you will get the characteristic consistency of traditional Cuban spaghetti. When serving, sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top.
